Do custom stainless steel braided brake lines improve braking?

  • Firmer, more responsive pedal feel — Stainless braided lines prevent the hose from expanding under pressure, unlike rubber hoses. This gives a noticeably tighter, more immediate pedal response.
  • Reduced "spongy" feel under heavy braking — The PTFE inner core + stainless braid eliminates expansion during high-temperature, high-pressure braking — exactly why they're used in motorsport.
  • Better durability and resistance to abrasion/corrosion — Stainless fittings and braiding withstand harsh environments and last significantly longer than OEM rubber.

How are your custom brake fittings attached to the hose?

  • We use an industrial swaging machine to crimp the fittings to the stainless steel hose.
  • We've noticed inferior custom brake lines that use reusable fittings, which aren't road legal in the UK.
  • The Manufacturing Standard: These standards require brake hose fittings to be permanently attached to the line — crimped or swaged using specialised industrial machinery.

Are your custom braided brake hoses suitable for track use?

  • Our custom stainless brake lines have been tested and trusted at the highest levels of motorsport.

Do I need to bleed my brakes after installing braided brake lines?

  • Yes — whenever replacing brake lines you will always need to bleed the brake system.
  • We recommend making a complete brake fluid change at the same time.
  • Our custom braided brake hoses are compatible with all brake fluids, including DOT 5.1 or specialised racing brake fluids.

What if I'm not sure which fittings I need?

  • If you're unsure, please contact us with details or photos of your existing fittings.
  • We'll help select the correct configuration.

Do you offer custom brake line kits for classic or vintage vehicles?

  • Yes! We can manufacture custom brake hoses for classic and vintage vehicles, even if the original parts are no longer available.
  • We've even made some for a Model T Ford!

Can I use stainless steel braided brake lines with ABS?

  • Yes, our custom brake hoses are fully compatible with ABS-equipped vehicles.
  • When fitting new hoses to an ABS system, it's important to bleed the brakes properly to remove any air, as ABS modules can be sensitive to trapped air pockets.

Can I replace my entire brake system, including hard lines, with braided hoses?

  • Yes! Our custom braided brake lines are designed to handle high pressure while maintaining flexibility — a great alternative to traditional hard lines.
  • Many motorsport and high-performance vehicles use full braided hose setups for improved durability, resistance to expansion, and ease of installation.
  • Ensure hose routing is properly secured and protected from excessive movement or abrasion.
  • If you're removing ABS or completely overhauling your brake system, we can supply made-to-measure brake lines tailored to your setup.
Custom brake hoses need to follow strict safety rules to meet road safety standards. These standards are recognised and ensure brake hoses are safe to use on the roads. Our custom made brake hoses are manufactured under license and are fully certified , ensuring they meet the highest safety standards. This certification and compliance means you can trust our custom brake hoses to be safe and approved for use no matter where you are in the world. Approved by MOT , FMVSS-106 (Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard) The Manufacturing Standard: These standards require brake hose fittings to be permanently attached to the line. This means they must be crimped or swaged using specialized industrial machinery.
