M16x1.5 Anodised Alloy Blanking Plug — Steering Rack Port Seal

An anodised alloy M16x1.5 blanking plug for sealing unused M16x1.5 threaded ports. Commonly used to seal the redundant hydraulic power steering ports on the Renault Clio 172/182 quick rack conversion, where the original power steering rack ports are no longer required after fitting a manual quick rack. Also suitable for sealing M16x1.5 ports on engine blocks, gearboxes, oil systems, and other hydraulic or fluid applications.

Clio 172 / 182 Quick Rack Application

When fitting a quick rack to the Renault Clio 172 or 182, the original power-assisted steering rack is replaced with a manual quick rack. The hydraulic ports on the original rack are no longer used and must be sealed to prevent contamination and fluid ingress. This M16x1.5 anodised alloy blanking plug is the correct size for sealing these ports cleanly and securely as part of the quick rack conversion.
