Why Use a Heat Sleeve?

Stainless steel braided PTFE hose is highly durable, but prolonged exposure to radiant heat from exhaust components can degrade the PTFE inner liner and fittings over time, and can cause fluid temperatures to rise in lines where cool fluid is critical — such as turbo oil feed lines. A heat sleeve provides a barrier against radiant heat, extending hose life and maintaining fluid integrity. It also protects surrounding components from heat radiated by hot fluid lines such as oil drain hoses.
